Morning? Noon? Night? When I remember?
The best time to water your plants is in the morning when the plant is the most active and the stomata are open to their fullest. Watering in the morning when there’s lots of light helps your plants draw up and absorb water. It’s also more likely that excess water will evaporate. At night, when there’s no light to evaporate, your plant could be sitting in water making it more vulnerable to fungi. An easy way to remember this rule, “plants don’t like to go to bed with wet feet.”
